The figures of Butoh dancers and collaborators Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata were the main inspiration for OH!, each of the initials of their surnames giving the title to the piece.

Grand Genet: Our Lady of the Flowers

Grand Genet: Our Lady of the Flowers is a full-length dance-theatre piece based on Jean Genet’s novel Our Lady of the Flowers. Nando dances the part of the transvestite Divine. It was the winner of Brazil’s Açorianos Prizes for best choreography and best dance piece in 2003 and was broadcast on national television in the same year.
